Remembrance - Gone Home

This week has seen a number of activities by all sections of the group around remembrance as the country remembers 100 years since the end of the First World War. The group attended the towns Remembrance Parade and Service held on Sunday 11th November at the Mead memorial Gardens and made Christmas Cards to send to British Troops who will be serving abroad over the Christmas period.

Remembrance is not only a historical act but can also be for the here and now. No more poignant than in the loss of one of our own scouting members, Pankaj Tailor, during the same weekend, after a long illness.

We all took part in a traditional Scouting Candle Ceremony to remember him, show our respect, and send our love and thoughts to his family, who are also scouting members.
