So tonight it was Kai's turn to organise and run the meeting. A number of challenges were set with chocolate and straws. It appears thought that some Explorers although starting with the correct amount of chocolate at the beginning of the meeting seemed to have run out half way through! Then a challenge was set to draw a set picture behind their backs, then on their heads. There was then a bunny jump challenge and a scavenger hunt and the evening finished with an Easter theme
The Cubs and Scouts joined together tonight in an evening of Easter themed challenges. The evening included a number of quiz questions, decorate a hard boiled egg, egg throwing challenge, egg jokes, name the chocolate bar and an Easter themed grid reference challenge. Unfortunately not all of the eggs used had been hard boiled so one youth member ended the evening having to clean the kitchen floor!
Well we couldn't post the write up for the Mother's Day card evening last week as it would have spoiled the surprise for all the Explorers Mothers... Samuel ran the evening and what an impressive evening it was. Origami extreme! with amazing leadership and input throughout the evening. Well another great night at Explorers last Monday. Thank you so much Jack for organising the Marshmallow and Spaghetti Challenge. The Explorers engineering skills were challenged to the limits with all sort of unusual structure. Some a success, others just needed eating! Some Explorers had obviously practiced their designs and it was great to see some good preparation.
