Holocaust Memorial Day is an opportunity each year for people around the UK to stand together with those in their local community, across boundaries of faith, age and ethnicity. A chance to learn about those affected by genocide around the world and take action for the future. The Scouts and Explorers joined together to hear a poem, light remembrance candles and in silence remember all lives lost over the years.
Massive CONGRATULATIONS to Jack and Will who attended a County Awards Night to be presented with their Scout Gold Awards. This is the highest award in the Scout Section and both have worked extremely hard to gain the awards.
The Scouts and Explorers enjoyed a Scottish evening tonight learning about traditions and the Burns Ceremony. Skip cooked Haggis, mash, neeps and gravy. The drink for the evening was a glass of Iron Brew... Some dancing and Scottish music were also the theme for the evening.
