Pancake Mayhem!

Flour, milk, eggs and lots of fun! That was the theme for last nights activities at Cubs, Scouts and Explorers. With an evening of pancake making which included preparing, cooking and lots of eating. The Cubs and Scouts learnt how to prepare pancakes and then cooked them. They also prepared a number of different fillings both health and not so healthy. Not surprisingly the not so healthy options were the choice of the evening. The Explorers took charge of the Scouts completing validation for a number of sections in their Young Leader Training. They coped well with some very excitable sugar fueled Scouts...

The Explorers had a great time watching BILLY (a musical based on Billy Liar) last night at the Concordia Theatre Hinckley. The performances by the cast were amazing and the production truly memorable. A really enjoyable night out. Billy Fisher, a Walter Mitty fantasist, lives with Mum, Dad and Gran in Stradhoughton and is an undertaker’s clerk – but in his mind he is President of Ambrosia, a film star, a scriptwriter – and anything else glamorous that happens to occur to him! BILLY is a fast-paced brassy, Broadway-style musical, with outstanding songs such as Ambrosia and Some of Us Belong to the Stars which were famously sung by Michael Crawford who starred in the title role at Drury Lane.
