The Scouts and Explorers had fun last night experimenting with fake wounds. Firstly they had to make body putty out of Vaseline and flour, then they had to mold their wounds and then use paints and fake blood to add depth and color. A very messy night but great fun.
Huge congratulations to Simon Robinson our Assistant Cub Leader who has received an invitation to attend a Duke of Edinburgh Gold Presentation Day at Buckingham Palace in May. Simon worked incredibly hard for his Gold Award and also achieved his Queens Scout at the same time whilst still an Explorer Scout. Unfortunately just as he was due to receive both awards COVID hit and all presentations were cancelled. So, a bit of a wait but well worth it. Buckingham Palace! Make sure
All sections of the group have taken part in Pancake Day activities this week. There have been various methods and recipes across the sections. The Beavers and Cubs opted for the traditional hand made pancake mix whilst the Scout and Explorers chose the ready made shake a bottle option. A variety of toppings where on offer from healthy to very unhealthy. It appears that the more chocolate and sweet topping the better! One of the Explorers however, preferred the simple lemon a
