
Barefoot Yoga
What an amazing night the Scouts and Explorers took part in last night. Becki from Barefoot Yoga visited and provided us with an evening of Yoga. I don’t think we have ever seen the youth members as quiet and focused. Everyone put 100% into the evening and it was great to see everyone learning some new out of the box skills. International Food Night
What a fantastic night he had last night at Scouts and Explorers. Last week each Scout and Explorer was issued with a country. They had to prepare and present a dish from their issued country and research its origins and traditions. Each member was then asked to prepare a short presentation ready for the meeting last night and of course – bring along the dish for tasting. Cub Safety Badge
The Cubs started the Safety Badge last night, beginning with road safety and the Green Cross Code. The evening began with an informative talk from Clive about road safety and road signs. The Cubs then had to re-cap the information Clive had presented and draw ten road signs from memory and explain what they were. Some of the Cubs struggled with this, but were helped by other members in their Sixes. A break half way through the evening and the Cubs enjoyed a game of “Captains

The New Year Begins
The Cubs, Scouts and Explorers all began the 2019 Spring Term with some exciting programmes. The Cubs leadership skills were tested, as were their eating biscuits skills! The Scouts took part in some basic training on survival shelters and also tidied up the lightweight camping equipment in the den and the Explorers finalised their Chief Scout and Duke of Edinburgh paperwork and had an amusing game of Pictionary with a twist.
