What a fantastic night he had last night at Scouts and Explorers. Last week each Scout and Explorer was issued with a country. They had to prepare and present a dish from their issued country and research its origins and traditions. Each member was then asked to prepare a short presentation ready for the meeting last night and of course – bring along the dish for tasting.
Cooking skills were definitely put to the test and nearly everyone prepared food from scratch. Sweet and savoury meals were prepared and some of the facts about the dishes were really interesting.
Welsh Cakes, Borsch, Pizza, Rice, Fresh Fruits, Pancakes, Coq au Vin, Scotch Eggs, Porridge, Spiced Apple Cake, Meatballs, Chocolate Cake and Hot Dogs.
The winner for best presentation and best dish went to Jack for his Spiced Apple Cake.
