November 19, 2018

Hinckley House nursing home came alive on Monday 19th November with the sound of a crackling campfire and singing.

1st Hinckley Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers visited the nursing home as part of their Community Service providing an evening of traditional campfire songs and skits.

The residents were also treated to a guitar performance by one of the younger scouts and a number of audience participation songs such as “Lord Baden Powell, Our Sergeant Major and Singing in the Rain”.

The evening concluded with harmonic vocals to “Pack up Your Troubles” and “It’s a long way to Tipperary” and the Scouts and Explorers serving refreshments to the residents.
